TGIF- Back To School!

TGIF is hosted by Ginger at G Reads. This week we’re discussing books we’d like to see discussed in a high school literature class.

I had a tough time with this one, mostly because I went to Christian school my whole life, so the content that I’d recommend is probably waaaay more conservative than what most high school teachers have their students read. That being said, here are some books I’m hoping to see my oldest daughter (who is almost eleven) soon read:

The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater – Chloe is actually reading this one now. I’m so excited and I keep bugging her about it, wanting to know what part she’s on.

The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness- I’m like a broken record, I know.

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak– This is such a wonderfully written book, with do many amazing characters. Yes, it can be a bit dark but we are talking about World War II here.

Happy Friday!
